Champagne Bollinger and Aston Martin have joined forces to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the James Bond film Goldfinger with a unique pop-up experience called "The House of Q" in London's Burlington Arcade. As reported by Champagne Bollinger, this immersive installation features a speakeasy bar serving Bollinger's PN cuvée, displays of iconic Bond memorabilia, and interactive experiences that allow visitors to explore the world of 007 and Aston Martin.

Bollinger's Goldfinger Anniversary

To commemorate the 60th anniversary of Goldfinger, a limited edition Goldfinger 007 Cuvée has been released, priced at £3,500. This exclusive offering comes with a bespoke Globe-Trotter air cabin case, making it a sought-after collector's item. Only 200 of these magnums have been produced, each individually numbered. For those unable to secure one of these rare bottles, The Ritz London is serving the cuvée throughout October, priced at £90 per glass. This celebration highlights the enduring cultural impact of the Bond franchise and its longstanding relationship with luxury brands.

House of Q Experience

Visitors to the House of Q are treated to a unique, immersive experience that blends the worlds of James Bond, Aston Martin, and Champagne Bollinger. Located at House 12-13, Burlington Arcade in London, this pop-up installation runs from July 18 to August 4, 2024.

The experience includes:

  • A secret entrance disguised as a magazine newsstand

  • A speakeasy-style Champagne Bollinger bar serving the PN cuvée

  • Displays of technical drawings and parts from the original DB5

  • A top-secret Q flight case hinting at future Aston Martin models

  • Daily design workshops hosted by Aston Martin's team

  • The Configurator Lab, where visitors can customize their own Aston Martin

The House of Q offers a rare opportunity for fans to engage with the Bond legacy while exploring the craftsmanship behind Aston Martin's luxury vehicles.

Bollinger-Bond Legacy

The partnership between Champagne Bollinger and James Bond officially began with the 1979 film Moonraker, where Roger Moore's 007 enjoyed a bottle of Bollinger Grande Année 1975. Since then, Bollinger has become the official Champagne for the famous British secret agent, appearing in numerous Bond films. This enduring relationship is based on shared values of sophistication and excellence, resonating with fans of both the champagne house and the iconic spy franchise. While Bollinger was not explicitly mentioned in Goldfinger, its association with Bond has become an integral part of the broader cultural legacy surrounding the 007 series.

Aston Martin DB5 History

Introduced in September 1963, the DB5 quickly became an icon of British automotive engineering, featuring a powerful 4.0-litre engine capable of speeds exceeding 150 mph. Its starring role in "Goldfinger" (1964) as James Bond's gadget-laden vehicle cemented its status as "the most famous car in the world," equipped with an ejector seat, machine guns, and other spy-worthy modifications. Designed by Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera, the DB5's sleek lines and sophisticated performance captured the essence of the Swinging Sixties, making it a symbol of luxury and adventure that continues to captivate audiences six decades later.
